SUPERHERO PARTY
This past weekend I was fortunate enough to be asked to make a cake for a little boy's baptism. In the Greek culture Baptism's are a big event and this little boys was no exception. The party was held at the royalregencyhotelny.com in Yonkers. The family opted for a Superhero themed party and no expense was spared. The tables were decorated in royal blue linens, with chair covers tied with red bows. The floral centerpieces consisted of red, white and blue flowers with different Superhero signs to depict where the guests would be sitting.
The cake was a three tiered cake consisting of a 12", 9" and 6" tiers. The cakes were chocolate and vanilla cake with oreo cookies n cream filling for one tier, chocolate for another, and vanilla chip for the third.

The customer also wanted additional cupcakes on the cake table, so I created these smaller versions using styrofoam circles. I created in Photoshop a red and white stripe print, blue with white stars and circle star print which I pinned to the styrofoam to dress it up. The cupcakes were then added all around the top and bottom tiers. The "P" was representive of the little boys name.

She also wanted a SuperHero cupcake tower consisting of 125 cupcakes in red, blue, yellow and green frosting.
I wanted to dress up the cupcake tower so I downloaded some Superhero blurb images and adhered them to cardstock. Then I cut them out to shape and taped them to floral wire. I looped the wire and stuck them into the cupcakes. The tower looked amazing due to the array of colors.
